Bluray FW Update

Hello, i have the Sony BDP-S350 Blu ray player, I need to update. I dont have the ethernet hooked up, i dont think it can hook up to wifi. And im on a mac so i cant download the update and put on a disc. Also the thing where you can request a disc doesnt work cause im in canada.

Have you tried contacting SONY?

I am not positive, but perhaps they may be able to send you a disc with the update.

If not, is it too late to return your DVD player?

Why can't you download it and burn to disc? Shouldn't matter whether you're on a Mac or PC.

Sony USA won't ship a firmware disc outside the US.

Just download the ISO file and burn the DVD using Disk Utility on Mac. I have a samsung BDP1400 and have done the update twice using ISO firmware file and Mac OS X. IF you are having Toast Titanium for Mac, you can use that also to burn a ISO file.

What are you using to extract the .iso file from the .exe file? The common complaint from Mac users is that Sony packs the .iso file within an .exe file and most Mac users have trouble extracting the file from an .exe file.
