All have gotten good user feedback but I don't know that someone tried each and every one or if there are any professional reviews on all of them either.

I really like the LG BD390 I bought this past weekend. I tried the PIoneer 320 but it just didn't work out with my display and lots of times I really think synergy is involved. What may work out great for some doesn't for others. We all have different displays, vision, and viewing environments.

Try what you feel you are interested in that also include the features you want, so long as there is a return policy. I cannot say there isn't at least some issues with ANY player though.

This is an absolutely ridiculous question.

You need to narrow your own choices down to no more than 2 players before you can get any honest and true user feedback. It's absurd to think that any one person, besides CNET, have used all 4 of these players and A/B compared picture quality on all of them.

Go to CNET or other review sites and do some research on your own first to narrow down your choices.

performancewise, the Samsung and LG are very quick for blu-ray players. The Pioneer is a LOT slower and the Panasonic is halfway between the others...

heard something real strange - the UK release of the pioneer 320 doesnt have 7.1 analog out, while apparently the USA one does. Anyone who can confirm this?

yes, I've been researching this player, and that is definitely true. The UK player lacks the 7.1 analog outs, but the US player has them.

panasonic bd80 (also bd60 if you dont need the 5.1 analog out) has the sharpest and cleanest picture for both dvd and blu-rays. Is also the slowest of all. slower than previous gen pannies.

LG390 is the fastest of all(load times) almost PS3 fast. PQ is somehow soft.
the most features out of all BD players and nice GUI. It plays Divx, and most recordable media and the optical pick up is not picky(it will play scratched, semi damaged discs)

Samsung is in between LG390 and Panasonic in PQ but has similar features as LG390(netflix,youtube etc..) loading times are also really good(a few seconds slower than LG) Wireless is possible with the provided dongle(like a usb flash drive) also nice GUI.

I have not had much experience with the new pioneer units but they look cheap comparing the last year models. Sharp bought a controling share in pioneer corp i suspect the new pios are heavly filled with sharp components and no offense but last years sharp BD players were terrible(I havent seen a new one yet) Feature sets poorer than Panasonic.

I find LG390 built quality the best out of all. almost like a pio 54. built wireles n reciever, nice remote, nice GUI and very responsive and fast operation. DVD upconvert quality is average and BD PQ is soft but above average.

I recommend bd60 for more critical watching(reference level BD player) and LG390 for more general use.
