Default Speaker question
I have an old Sony 5.1 surround system and a Bose Lifestyle 38. With the Sony 5.1, I can update the receiver as it was one with an old receiver and not a dvd player. My question is would I see much of a difference between getting a reciever that would play PCM HD codecs or using my Bose Lifestyle 38 (only doing lossy codecs)

disclaimer: I can't return the Bose as I have had it for 5 years.
