Default Wait for the Denon or get the PS3

Okay I admit it, this is probably a loaded question. I haven't bought a Blu-ray player yet. I've always been a big fan of Denon products I own a Denon DVD player and reciever and I am hoping to hear of a Denon release soon.

Or does the PS3 do everything I would need it do as a Blu-Ray player. My understanding is that the PS2 wasn't a great DVD player, but I'm glad to hear that the PS3 is doing great for Blu-Ray.

Can the PS3 connect via Component? My TV is a second or third generation projection HDTV before the days of HDMI. How is the image via component?

I'm leaning toward the PS3 because I also have two PS2 games that I could play with it. But I am a movie guy and only an occasional gamer. But the ability to play games on a high quality Blu-Ray player is very tempting.

But since I am primarily interested in movies, should I focus on a BD player that is movies only, or should I be pleased with the PS3?

Plus what are the wait times on the PS3? Any known bugs out there?

Thanks for any opinions!
