Japanese Blu-ray quality - Blu-ray Forum

I'm curious if anyone has imported the blu-ray of Hyde's Faith Tour?(Jrock singer

) He's one of my favorite singers and I was curious how the video/sound quality of the disc is. (It's like a $60 disc to import, so I wanna be sure it is awesome.

I don't have that one, but I do have the TMR disc

It's sublime how good the PQ is. MPEG-2, BD-50, 2-channel PCM. Sony did a whole series for HD taping in Budokan (TMR/Ken Hirai anniversary shows, Angela Aki), was the Hyde show one of them?

I'm praying they did the L'arc 15th Anniv as well.

Oddly enough, I think this is recordings of his american tour, but the blu-ray only was released in Japan. Even has a special feature on it with him talking about his american tour. lol

L'Arc would be awesome. I felt so dumb for a long time cause I only knew Hyde as Hyde until I read somewhere online that he was the head singer for L'Arc. (I would spell the full name of the band, but alas...I never spell it right :P) So then I picked up the album Smile. Too bad locally that was the only one I could get.

I'm highly debating getting the Blu of Hyde's concert...Hyde in 1080p would be so cool. 8)

The US tour was part of that tour, but I seriously doubt they hauled out the HD cameras. I've participated in many of the US JRock/Pop shows and they're all shooting handheld standard def for the most part with a few stationaries. It's just intended for quick clips on MTV or something

I'll wager it's excellent quality. They wouldn't sell it blu otherwise
