Just wanted to toss a big thanks over to Iceman and Marwin for allowing us to link to other sites and not isolating or censoring us from all the most up to date information on the net. I know our news is always reliable and the reviews always timely, informative and insightful and you guys pride yourself on that, and I realize other sites occasionally post reviews/news/etc before us and I am quite thankful I can post them here without fear of reprimand. I hope this privilege will continue to be allowed and measures never taken to eliminate it. Being one of the most complete and comprehensive forums is one of the many reasons I've never strayed far from these boards, and while I haven't had as much time to spend on here recently, I always find myself coming back when I'm able to

I agree totally with Andrew, I do frequent other sites, mostly UK and German and I share their information from the forums there and we allow the links to stay in the SteelBook forum.
They are providing the information first and usually its market specific and I believe that credit should be given when credit is due. As most writers would agree, they appreciate having themselves credited when their work is used and I believe here should be no different.
One one member here told me, "We are a community and if we cant information share, no one wins and sites fade rather than grow." As longs as its not the webmaster pimping his site, there usually isn't an issue

We are 80,000+ members strong and growing

. I say 'we' as we are all apart of the success and we are the blu-ray.com community

As a member, mod, and supporter I thank you guys for the opportunity to have a state of the art site and community to share my wrath of thoughts with(and my down time

) and the news crew for accurate reporting and the Review crew for their hard work.

I'm a little lost (ok, just got up and need more coffee), but can you elaborate on the linking issues. Haven't we always been allowed to do so? Like I provide links to Audiogon or Future Shop or whatever...what is it exactly that you mean?

There has been some controversy at High-def Digest as to whether or not they were allowed to link to other sites.

I would also like to add my thanks to the admins (and mods) here. They do a great job and the forum has been a great source of information for me.

Not just there. AVS had the same issues awhile back and I'm not sure if they let up or not.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank the mods on this site for being the best mods the internet has to offer, This is the only forum I post in anymore because it is run RIGHT! I used to post on Gamefaqs, Espn, and others but all those mods are garbage! they constantly allow off topic topics and useless posts with no consequences! This site might be the only one left with intelligent posters, and for that I would like to say THANK YOU! to the Mods especially and also the posters as well for making this forum what it is

I agree with the guys above. I just exchanged a few PMs with a mod today. Every time I've ever had a question or sent a message I've always received a prompt and appropriate response. Thanks to all the mods of this site for a job well done.

I've joined a lot forums & communities in the past and none have stuck like this one. It's very well ran , new additions come in at a good pace , people are friendly and very knowledgeable and awesome reviews. If I have any kind of problem related to my hobbies, I know I can find the answer here.

To everyone involved in running the site and keeping it amazing, I thank you

Whenever they add the ability to add PS3/PSN games in my collection, I'll be 100% happy. lol

This site is awesome. The people in charge do read this forum and actually care about our feedback. I am honest with my opinion and I have never been questioned or silenced by anyone here. I strongly disagreed with a couple of the former reviewers here, but they were always very polite and professional in their responses to my concerns. ALWAYS!

Actually they have my sympathies, we had the exact same problem for a time period of 2-3 years when we were constantly beaten by other sites (including HDD who were doing a great job). It's not fun when you are working very hard to be a good site and every day there's a new thread about a new review on another site. We have finally fixed our problems and lately we have been doing much better, which has led to far less threads about other sites in our forums.

Of course we've never sent any shills to any other sites and I don't think any other serious sites have sent any shills to our site either, people aren't "site fans", they are movie fans and simply link to where the latest action is, regardless of which site it is at the moment.

The key to our success is simply very hard and dedicated work, many mods and staff are putting in way more than 8-hour work days, including weekends.

In any case, we don't wish to have any drama or fighting going on between members/mods/staff on this site or with/between any other sites' members/mods/staff. We just want to keep focusing on improving the site and try to supply our members/visitors with the best features/content as possible
