Default Hollywood DVDs... 1080 what?

An article on the home page of this website said this:

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle was compressed and authored in MPEG-2 full high-definition (1920 x 1080)

is that 1080P 24P, 1080i 30fps, 1080P 30fps, 1080P 60P, what???

I cannot advance myself but I would say that it is 1080p because I saw a trailer of that movie 3 years ago presenting the Blu-Ray Disc at the Sony Dream World 2002. The quality presented was amazing and couldn't have been 720p/1080i

Good question - 1080p/24 would be my guess.

Total guess though.

Although Sony only claims 1920x1080 a number of other web siites claim 1080p. I don't know what the movie was shot in (fps), but I can promise you Sony will have have packed as much in as possible. Let me guess what is going to be shown at the CES. Expect to see other movies shown as well, as we know Panasonic has had a plant up for some time and I can assure you they will not have been making disks with test patterns on them.

1080p movies will have a little sticker (1080p) as seen on the blu-ray movie
the league of extraordinary gentlemen, as shown here:
