Default Region A BD player

Hello!

Well the thing is i'd like to but a region A BD player; I live in spain, so my PS3 is region B, but i see lot of region a bd's on amazon.com that i'd purchase right away.

So i wonder, any of you people europan fellas have any idea of what site could i order a good region a bd player? because amazon.com big orders usually get lost at least the ones i've made; then i have to wait months while the investigate etc etc and send it again or give me the cash back...

I'd recommend this player:

http://www.hkflix.com/hardware/xq/as...qx/details.htm

Plays BD's and DVD's from all regions. The website in question is good and they are not making the region free claim up. Gary Tooze from DVDbeaver.com ordered the bigger brother to this player and it works, no problem. The site also retail power transformers for European customers. Just email them and ask do they have one for Spain.

Another plus is the price is in US dollars so with you and me being in the Eurozone, you benefit from the cheaper exchange rate.

Hope this helps.

I just bought a US PS3. It works on 220V no problem and you get a second games machine as well. All you have to do is buy the kettle power lead from your own country for 5 euros and your set to go.

PS3 games are region free so its not a problem at all as you can download the firmwares just like on your region B PS3. You won't even have to learn how to use it. The slims do everything a standalone does. And because you have a region A and B player, there is no chance of anyone ever taking your capability away. Say for example if Sony decide to put protection on the blu ray movies later on and it stops your region free machine working as it should.

I'm sure its all in vain though, considering people find ways around anything these days.

www.videogamesplus.ca will ship you a PS3 to Spain.

Wow, awesome. I had thought Sony put the kibosh on exporting their console but I guess they don't care that much anymore.

Thanks for that info, Richieb.

Thanks both!
The ps3 on that site cost at change (shipping include) 253 €. which is cheaper than our spanish ones (around 300€)
I'll have to think about it, because that price is as low as any BD region A player can cost me (imported i mean) but still, its kinda expensive for the use im planning to do, which is to import the few movies region A locked that i'd like to have.

Well, thanks guys!

If you know anyone in the UK see if they can get you a Tevion from the supermarket chain Aldi. This is basically the Momitsu and can be switched between regions by entering a code. Official cost is £140 but some people have seen them at around £100. http://www.techradar.com/reviews/aud...-613279/review

The say this on their site:

We apologize for any inconvenience, but HKFlix has temporarily stopped offering hardware for sale so that we can focus on films. Please check back for updates as they become available.

Please contact us with any additional questions.

Get what I have...a Momitsu BDP-899 Here's a review on the player:
http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/hardwa...su_bdp-899.htm
It plays all regions on Blu-Rays AND DVDs and loads as fast as my PS3, way faster than my old Blu-Ray player. FANTASTIC player, best on the market, in my opinion
