Samsung BDP1600 Network Help - Blu-ray Forum

Hey everyone

Just looking for some help with setting up my internet with my player.

I have an ethernet from it to a homeplug.
I have put in all my IP address, gateway etc....and when I run a network connection test, everything is fine EXCEPT for INTERNET SERVICE TEST.

I had it working with Youtube for about 5 minutes one day, but not BD-Live. The next time I switched on my player, without having changed any settings, Youtube wouldn't work.

Anybody have any ideas as to how I can fix this? Really want to check out BD-Live and Youtube etc....

Thanks very much in advance, I'm useless when it comes to technology like this!

There was an update recently (Oct 31.) try that, mine would freeze up with netflix, no bd-live and, freeze with ROTF--after I updated, it was good to go.

I had a hard time getting my network to work too. I use wireless, so I don't know if this will work for you, but I had to do a hard reset on the router.

After that, everything worked fine.

Whenever you update firmware, does it reset all your player settings? That's what mine does and it's annoying as hell. ALL my settings, even the network settings.
