Does anybody know if Glee will be released on Blu-ray and if it will be Vol. 2 or the whole season?

I have been searching every few weeks and there is still nothing. My wife really wanted this so I caved in and bought her S1 V1 on DVD for $17.99 off Amazon.

When Bill Hunt of the Digital Bits reviewed the volume 1 DVD of Glee he said he suspected that Glee will be released on Blu-ray. It would definitely be the whole season and not just volume 2. The show has been a huge hit so it'd be surprising if it wasn't released on Blu-ray.

My wife is in love with this show, but I don't think she would want the BD. It would not be as good without the darkness of it and Jane Lynch. She is at her best in this show.

I'm sure we'll see a Blu for the whole season one. I've downloaded episodes from iTunes in HD.

I think I remember reading on tvshowsondvd.com back when vol.1 came out that later when vol. 2 comes out there would also be a full season version also. I really hope the full season is released to blu-ray! It'd be a day one pick up for me.

The show was shot in 1.78:1 only so just how can there be anything other than a full screen version?

There supposedly is not going to be a Vol 2 only a full season. Fox is really trying to screw people over because when Vol 1 released many people believed a voucher would be in it that would make the full season set cost less but the voucher never existed. Read both articles from Tvshowsondvd.com.

Also in the first link they say they have heard nothing from fox about the show coming to Blu-ray but with its popularity i doubt it wont.

There will likely be a Blu-ray release of the full season rather than volumes like the DVD.

Yes! I really want this on Blu-ray! Up until last week I was recording the episodes right from the TV in HD but I ran out of hard drive space. Glee on Blu-ray is a must!

aka FOX isn't always stupid

to be fair though, they planned volume 1 and everything before it was picked up for the back 9 episodes, then they just went ahead and released it anyway. but it was still stupid, i refused to get the volumes lol plus i got a blu-ray player just before so i wouldn't have got dvds anyway

On ET they just announced the complete first season on DVD and it's a 7 disc set. No mention of a Blu-ray set. I hate DVD set's that have a lot of discs but I also really wanted this show on Blu-ray.

oi at the price. music royalties is a kick in the head on this one. not really sure why it's so much though, volume one was only like $25

This may be the ONLY TV Show I'll EVER pick up on Blue Ray. I had decided earlier to stick to DVD's for TV shows, but this one IS an exception. I can watch te music numbers in this one over and over again. GREAT STUFF.

I wish they would have a video Juke box where you can play JUST the musical numbers. They did that for HAIRSPRAY and a few others.

Awesome can't wait to get it on Blu then. Love the special features they have announced.

Day one purchase for me. It has become my favorite show behind Dexter. Definatly my fav on network TV.
