Glee Season 1: Vol 1 Target Blu-ray?? - Blu-ray Forum

Can anyone shed some light on this? As far as I knew, there wasn't a blu-ray release until the end of season 1. I hope it might be true. Love this show!This comes from http://www.fox.com/glee/target/index2.htm? Thanks for checking guys.

The last episode on the set is sectionals, but maybe it's the season's halfway point....

I hope it gets a Blu release!

From what I understand, the show was originally going to end with 13 episodes in it's first season, Fox decided to pick it up for extra episodes later.

So originally episode 13 was to be the season finale, which is why they are releasing it as Season 1, Part 1. With the next 11 or 12 episodes as Season 1, Part 2 to be released at the conclusion of the first season (or possibly just before the second season begins.)

I don't have a source for this as I don't remember exactly where I read it, but I have seen several reports that 1-13 will be released on Blu at the end of December.

Amazon has the pre-order up for the DVD version, I'm sure the Blu-ray pre-order will be up soon.

This release is DVD only, and the last part of the season will be an additional 9 episodes for a total of 22.
Blu-ray is likely for the complete season set but unannounced.

Ugh...why does it list Blu when its not available on Blu??

To be honest I think they rushed the set out for christmas and Blu was sacrificed.

The show was originally 13 eps for season one but has had 12 extra eps ordered. Those additional 12 episodes will begin airing in April.... *gasp!!!*

I too was curious if they were going to release the blu-ray on the 29th. In the release schedule on the Best Buy Insider, it showed that there is a blu-ray version for Glee. I went searching here to see if it's true.

I just checked the OP's link again and it looks like they updated the info. As much as I love this show, I don't want them to rush the blu-ray. I'll wait for the full season release.

I doubt I can wait, so I may get the DVD

However, the Blu-Ray will not get a digital copy of the episodes, so to watch it anywhere I may get the DVD.

I love this show and it will be awesome to own it on BD

I think there'll be a full season Glee release but at least not until another 9 episodes has been aired (which they start April 2010 after Idol finishes)

so almost another year to wait
