Glee needs to be on Blu-Ray - Blu-ray Forum

I don't understand why many series that are popular and awesome and HD-compatible (aired on HDTV and Itunes HD) won't be available on Blu-Ray like Gossip Girls, 90210, The Secret Life Of American Teenagers

I don't want that to happen to Glee since it's my second favorite series (the first is Heroes) so far.

Yes, I'm a GLEEk having my hopes up!

Dude, they've only aired three episodes of this show so far. At least let them finish their first season on air before you start wondering about where the blu-ray is.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to start asking for the Blu-Ray now. That way Fox knows there is interest.
However, I think they do, and Fox has been one of the more aggressive TV-on-Blu studios, so I have a lot of faith it will come to blu-ray.

I'm happy to support a show like this by buying the blu-ray seasons and the soundtrack CDs. I will not, however, buy DVD editions.

I love glee and they have already announced glee season 1 road to the regionals for DVD. But I still have hope for a blu-ray release and I can't wait for the cd on Nov 3rd.

GLEE looks great on FOXHD. Include a great lossless soundtrack, and it's first day for me. BRING ON THE 5-DISC SET!!!

I just looked up the soundtrack. Defying Gravity is the last song on it. I wish this meant that Kristen Chenoweth would be doing another guest hit, but I don't think she's in it again during the first 13.

Glee was just announced for DVD no blu-ray release, as season 1 volume 1 road to sectionals. I really hope fox gives it a blu release they give every show a blu release except for there biggest show House and now they screw glee over.

This looks like a hurried release just to promote the show for the holiday buying season, and to get people hooked for the remainder of the season.

I bet we see a proper, full Season 1 release sometime next year.

I e-mailed fox about glee on blu-ray and got a response saying they can't give me that information at this time. So hopefully we get a glee the complete first season on blu instead of buying the volumes.

also the DVD price is the same price as other shows' full season release

i think volume one is just a fancy name to call it

artwork above i took out that guy cuz i like Kurt so much

and I don't like the cheerleading coach (just as they want) lol

and i do really want GLEE on blurayyyyy whatever volume or season i'll buy them all

and thank you so much, detective392 for contacting FOX.. I contacted them on Ask fox and they redirects me to the foxstore... which is definitely not the right place to ask about decisions to make discs

This seems to be a special case, if the release is indeed set to occur during the middle of the current season. I don't recall any other show that has released a DVD of it's current season while that season was still airing.

The news from the studio clearly says "volume 1", though. It will include the first 13 of the season's full 22 episodes.

I think that fox will have a volume 1 with the first 13 eps and then vol 2 with the last 9 and then release a big the complete first season dvd/blu-ray box set for those who wait or double dip.
