Default Want to build some Drawers for media

Well I want to free up some space in my room and build some drawers in my closet. I just don't know where to start...

I've got 6 drawers from an old dresser that I'm not using. Check out my custom TV stand thread.

maybe you need to buy a dresser, rebuild it, or just re-use the drawers???

If you don't want to take the time to make them yourself, you can just give Rockler the measurements and they make you a dovetailed drawer. Don't know the price though.

that's really going to depend on the slider you use, there are different types you can choose from depending on how far out you want them to come if you want the drawer to be removable, etc.

your best bet is to go to home depot or loews (or some other hardware store) and check out what is available and what will fit your size needs and start from there.

PM Rob71. He's a cabinet maker / carpenter. I'm sure he'll chime-in here eventually.

You might want to check out some flea markets. You can get some great deals. Find on old dresser, strip it down and refinish it the way you want. That would be the most inexpensive way to go, then you can brag about the DIY project. The other way is shelving like I did. Pics in my gallery and it only comes out 5 inches from the wall so it saves a ton of space.

Wait? You mean people would do that? Brag about their DIY on an old dresser?
