Canada New Media Room Build!

So my fiance has given me the okay to convert one of the rooms to a media room (aka the man zone). So I've decided that I'm going to share the process with you guys!

First lets see what the room looked like before...

And now begins the tear down...

We have selected new furniture, new paint colours and a new TV (with accessories)...

Stay tuned

Ah it does but this room is for a "regular" TV set...

Walls are primed and waiting for paint!!!

On to some more pictures!

Colour hints?

I'm ready to go! Taping the room is a rather long (and boring) process since you don't want to get any extra paint on the baseboards or the crown molding...

Actual paint on the walls?!?

That is a Beautiful Transformation.
I LOVE the New Look and Feel to the Room.

The TV is HUGE.Just Perfect for Sports and Movies.
And Love the Paint Job.

Seeing as you did all of this yourself I have to say you did a Great Job.A Lot of Love and Care went into that room, and it shows.

The large shelf near the top of the baseboard is a sweet added touch.
The rest of the room is Amazing. The Accent Wall. Hardwood.Rug.It All Ties Together for an Amazing Set-Up.

And the Media Cabinet is Everything I could have ever Dreamed of.

I am turning my closet into a Media Library and Collectible Display Area. And what I see with those Awesome Shelves and interior wall panels, makes me say Woah!.

Just have to say that you have one Incredible Man Zone There,Enjoy .
Your Work Is As Good As It Gets.
Simply First Rate.

Looks like you are overdrawn on your Photobucket account. You should put the pics in your blu-ray.com HT gallery.

Well, I'm sad to report that my 55" XBR8 was acting up and I had to replace it

There was something wrong with the sound board. The sound would cut in and out whenever it felt like. I had a repair ticket opened since September and they couldn't fix it within 60 days so they offered to send me back to the store to select another set (thank God I bought a warranty! I usually buy one for more expensive electronics).

So after going back and forth looking at various sets (LED and Plasmas), I settled on going a bit bigger...

Panasonic TCP65GT30 3D plasma!

I somehow talked my wife into getting a larger set. I got a bundle deal that gave me everything but the kitchen sink. I saved a LOT of money.

I got 4 active glasses (There's 3 in the picture but they were out of stock on the last one), A Panasonic DMP-BDT110, and Avatar 3D.

I also picked up a few 3D titles to watch. Some from Amazon and others in store...

On to the pictures!

And don't worry about the glare, it was dark and I bumped the ISO up. I'll post pictures of what it looks like with the shutters closed later. And even with them open it's not bad at all. I love the antiglare coating on these sets!

I just picked up a 65GT30 b/c my 6 year old 65" Mistubishi DLP died and I hate you because I didn't even get single pair of glasses with mine.

That bundle you got was unreal ......4 panasonic glasses, a 3d player, and 3d avatar.

Well I love this tv but hate that I have to find some glasses now.

Great looking room!!!
