Default ? about amazon pre orders

ok for example i really want to buy toy story on blu ray from amazon.com. what do u think the final price will be? will i get the lowest price if i pre-order it? If i were to try the "get the item delivered on the release date" does that really work? will i get it that day so i can enjoy it? i ordered some in october and for regular shipping and it seemed to take too long to get my movies so that was a bummer i had to wait so long. do u think it is worth the extra $5 to pay to get ure item the same day as its released?

Yes you get the lowest price. And yes you'll get it on release day.

if worst comes to worst and you don't get on release date just tell amazon and they'll give you some credit

Amazon is usually very good about price protection and shipping the new release on time.

You will get the lowest advertised price between your order date and the official release date automatically applied to your order.

If you do not receive the pre-order on release day, you will get it on the following day... unless you live outside the U.S. and are ordering from Amazon.com.

Ordering from the appropriate Amazon site designated for your country always yields a fairly accurate release date delivery. However, it can't be guaranteed. But, what's an extra day really?

Every single time I've preordered from amazon, I get it the next day. Some people may not be able to wait, but I'm always shocked that I get it less than 24 hrs after the release date. And every once in awhile, you get it a day early!

Amazon is really good about delivering it on time. They will also honor the lowest price that was advertised. If you really want it, and are planning on buying it opening day, I'd just pre-order it.

You 'may' get the lowest price. If they ship the item they are not obligated to give you a lower price even if it drops the day after shipping. Also, there isn't any reason Amazon will have the lowest price.*

* While Amazon typically does have the lowest price, there have been titles they simply would not come off the price when compared to B&M offerings.

Their policy states that they will give you an adjustment on a pre-order right up to release day, even if the items ships prior to this.

thats not true, you are charged when the order goes into the shipping stage. if the price drops after you already paid for it you arent getting any money back.

If your order enters the shipping process before the release date and the price is lowered on the release date, we will automatically refund your credit card for the difference between the price you were charged and the release-date price.

ive had a refund for an item that was in route to me and the price dropped. it all depends on who you talk to and how you deal with them.

There's no "that's not true" about it - that's their policy.
