Default Pre orders from amazon

Just was wondering, when you pre order from amazon, how long before you normally receive the movie from the release date? Just wondering if National Treasure 1 &2 will be worth waiting for or should I just go get it at the store and pay more.

It depends on the shipping you choose. i am an amazon prime member so i get my movies on release day through amazon. If you choose normal shipping it will be later in the week before you get them.

i'm a prime member and i either get titles the day before, the release date or the following day. The titles coming to me on Monday though has slowed down the last time I remember it happening was probably Sunshine. Generally release day for me. I am in new york if that matters

Usually the same day of release or the next day,I never had a problem with any pre orders from amazon.

To the OP you should check out about becoming a Prime Member its worth the price you pay.

It also depends on how far you live from a Amazon disto center... I always choose free SS shipping and get my new releases on Wednesday or Thursday...

I usually use the Super Saver Shipping and receive them on Friday of the week they are released, which doesn't bother me any, I'm not one who has to watch them right away. I still have a few I haven't watched yet!

With 2 day shipping via Amazon Prime I get most of new releases the day of release. Ocean's 11 was the only one I got the day after release. None early

Count me in with most everyone else here.

I live in Indiana and most of my DVD/Blu-ray titles are shipped on Monday of release date from Amazon's warehouse in Kentucky and I receive them on Tuesday (release date).

All this happens because like many of you, I'm an Amazon Prime member. Definitely do the trial and see if you like it!

With prime, I choose 1 day shipping and get them the day of the release. If I kept the free shipping, I'd get them on a Wednesday (obviously). The only time I didn't get a release on time was Master and Commander, and that was probably due to all the cancelling/reannouncing that was going on with that title. Though now I am curious about the Paramount titles...

I have to agree with everyone that posted a comment so far.

I recently actually just became an Amazon Prime member and I've saved atleast $20 on shipping just this week alone.

Actually the Gold Box is at the top of your Amazon home page. I get stuff in it all the time and I'm not a Prime member.

I signed up for Amazon prime, and have since bought my Onkyo receiver, PS3, several bluray discs, PS3 games and a McFarlane military figure I couldn't find anywhere. Even at the 79 a year charge it is more than worth it. free 2 day shipping, and 3.99 overnight, its paid for itself already.

While it didn't actually ship yet, my order for National Treasure 1&2 did process. I rather wait than pay the asking prices I've seen from B&M stores. I don't know if any of those are including both movies in a bundle.

No hurry as I have other BDs to watch while I'm waiting.

I have had a problem with Amazon Prime twice so far. They shipped my items ground instead of 2 day like they promise. Their thinking is that as long as it gets to you in two days it doesn't matter how they ship it. They figured it would still get to me in two days, but they didn't. It kind of made me mad that they said that you would get free two day shipping with Amazon Prime and then not ship it two day. The first time it happened I didn't say anything, I just thought it was a mistake. The second time, I complained and they stated that as long as it gets to me in two days from the shipping day it doesn't matter how they shipped it and left it at that. I complained that that didn't help the problem because it wasn't getting to me in two days. They ended up refunding me a total of $8, $4 for each of shipments that were sent ground.

Maybe they should keep doing this so I can complain everytime.....
