Default Disaster Movies on Blu

I'm a sucker for disaster movies, even the made-for-TV kind. I think the genre is pretty perfect for Blu. So it's a shame there aren't that many out, at least that I'm aware of. The disaster flicks I've seen on Blu are:

Category 7: The End of the World
The Day After Tomorrow
Deep Impact
Megafault
The Towering Inferno
Twister

Does anyone else have recommendations for disaster films on Blu? Anyone have any specific disaster film they want on Blu?

I'd really love to have Volcano and Dante's Peak. Peak wouldn't be too hard, since there was already an HD-DVD release. And I want Volcano especially because the DVD is non-anamorphic.

Universal needs to get on the ball and give us Earthquake! Would love to have the scenes that were used in the televison version as extras.

I almost mentioned Earthquake, but I could've sworn I'd heard something about a Blu already... must be mistaken.

One I'd also love to see is Night of the Twisters. This is just wishful thinking, and pretty much impossible - not only is it an ABC Family TV movie from 1996, but even the DVD is (quite obviously) sourced from the VHS tape.

High five! I'm a disaster freak myself, I loved Day After, Deep Impact, Twister, 28 Weeks Later, Doomsday, etc - can't wait to see 2012.

I totally forgot Perfect Storm! I saw that in theaters when it came out. Rented the Blu one day, but had to return it before I watched it... thanks, I'll need to give that another go!

I'm remembering things as I go... Magma: Volcanic Disaster could be cool on Blu. Basically SyFy's version of Dante's Peak, just upped to a global scale and starring Amy Jo Johnson... yes, the original Pink Power Ranger!

Some parts were stupid, but it seems to have been shot on HD video and it was entertaining. I was surprised how well Amy Jo did too. Guess acting is easier when you aren't fighting rubber monsters and poorly-dubbed Japanese witches.

I also enjoy watching disaster movies... 2012 will be a must have when it gets released on Blu but other than ones that people have already mentioned I would love to see Armageddon released on Blu!!!

Never saw the syfy version of Dante's Peak, but the one with Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton was pretty good . Ya would think James Bond and Sarah Connor could handle that

I don't care much for Armageddon, to be honest. That's not something I'd buy, but considering how popular it is it would be a good business move. I wonder if the Blu would be a Criterion release?

Try watching Outbreak.

I would like to see 2012.

I agree about Volcano. I have the dvd and would love to upgrade it. I have some disaster movies on DVD some are good and some bad.

The worst I have seen so far was Tornado (avoid it at any cost)

Was this the Tornado from 1996, with Bruce Campbell, that was a huge ripoff of Twister? Or was it the newer one about the evil cult using satanic twisters to wipe out the gypsy population? Unfortunately, I saw both...
