Default pc problem

whenever i try to change the res setting. all i get is a black screen. after a minute or so. then the pc will restart. is there a glitch with the nvidia driver updates?

HP Pavilion P6210Y
Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit
Nvidia GeForce 9100

the pc isnt a month old yet.

It's not always wise to use microsoft drivers for your hardware. On many occasions I've seen these updates cause the hardware to stop working. Try and stick with the drivers from the manufacturer or hardware vendor and just install the security and software updates from M$.

try changing the resolution in the nvidia control panel , i have heard people having problems with these cards on windows 7 specially with the latest drivers.

its mostly likely a software issue between the card and windows 7 i would find a different version to use.
