Default TV series are taking too long. Will you wait?

There just so many TV series (all seasons available) out on DVD, like Stargate SG-1, Andromeda, even Star Trek TNG, that I want to watch NOW! But my eyes are so used to 1080p and 1080i now that I don't want to go back, and if I watch them on DVD now I will be so pissed when they come out on blu-ray since I've already seen everything. However, I don't want to wait the ****'n 2-5 years for them to all come out on blu-ray. I really don't know what to do.

What are the other TV lovers thinking as they pace back and forth like me?

too bad none of the shows you listed were actually made in HD, except for the last 4 seasons of SG-1

I just want my seasons of Lost already. I'd die for Heroes in BD, but well, I won't hold my breath.

Now if Entourage came out in HD...hmmm...

I'm thinking there will be a flood of tv shows on blu-ray once we win this war. Just wait.

I agree, I had to visit to 2 different stores to find a copy of 300 on BD yesterday.

HD-DVD copies were in abundance everywhere, no problem finding one of those, haha.

Just wait about 2-3 years for most of them to come out on BD, you got to remember the studios aren't releasing their shows on BD or even HD is that no format is the clear winner yet. Most of the shows I wanted I already own on DVD and ain't in a rush to rebuy all of those on BD.

The real thing you have to understand are these

1- There is limited HD shelf space right now. Not a lot of space for big box sets
2- The investment in production is far more for for 20 hours of TV than 2 hours of movie, especially when you can't sell it for 10x the price

New TV releases are starting to come, TV releases in any quantity, wait until BR has its own aisle at Best Buy

Yeah but all seasons of SG-1 are available in anamorphic widescreen on the DVD sets. And they are remastered in HD.

I would buy like a CSI or Bones season on BD if I hadn't seen it on TV already. Otherwise forget it.
