I loved the book, but this movie looks horrible. They just figured hey let's cast someone who looks like a dick, and he can be Tucker Max. I get it, Tucker is an ******* but he's still funny in the book. But this should have never been made into a feature length film, the book is just a bunch of random stories of frat boys acting like frat boys do, so to pick one of those and make a movie, FAIL! I wonder if the heard of buffalo make an appearance.

Such a level of suck is not fathomable. Edit: Just watched the trailer...ok that does look terrible...Meet the Spartans bad. But not Miss March bad....that movie is on a whole different playing field. Last edited by Diesel; 01-15-2010 at 08:54 PM. |

Seeing that trailer just made me think of Miss March right off the bat. I thought to myself, I'd rather watch Miss March than that s***. Because then, I could say I watched a better movie than I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell. Seriously, what kind of title is that anyway? I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell; sounds like a 7th grader came up with that title. |

I haven't seen the trailer, but if it's anything like the book, it's probably terrible.
The book isn't even original. It's just a collection of stories everyone tells in college "yo, get this, so my buddy's friend..." but some genius had the idea of pretending they all happened to him, and re-told them all on his website (that's how the book originally came about, right?). I honestly don't even know who this stuff appeals too. I would guess drunken frat guys, but then again, they're the ones that tell these stories, so maybe wannabe-frat guys? I have no idea. Oddly, Tucker seems like a smart guy (you can't be dumb if you go to Duke for law school), so his crude sense of humor is a bit surprising. Same goes for Sacha Baron Cohen. |

Movie looks far from impressive but I found the book to be hilarious. Yes, it is crude, rude, immoral, immature, and more than likely way over embellished, but most importantly it was entertaining. I read it to have a good laugh and be entertained by the depravity and stupidity of people; which if anyone else picked up a book like this for any other purpose I would have to ask them what they were thinking.
