Default Target has no more HD-DVD standalones online either

I saw this posted over at AVS a few minutes ago and now the thread "mysteriously" disappeared. It looks as if Target no longer is selling HD-DVD standalones online either, just the 360 add-on. I'm pretty sure they had them there before. If you can find one on their site, please let me know

Oh what will the AVS red-boys say now?

The funniest thing is that if you search for HD-DVD, the Sony BDP-300 Blu-Ray player shows up

Still there: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=886099

One poster claims no HD DVD players at Costco since yesterday, as well. Don't know if it means a thing, but it is curious.

im not suprised at all. one poster in avs was right, toshiba has been playing major hardball with retialers, saying things like, "if you don't carry hd dvd, we won't let you sell our tvs" looks like some retailers have had enough. im not suprised.

Hope this is more indication that HD-DUD is on it's way out the door.

it already is, HD DVD is the annoying guest that after its thrown out of the party, keeps knocking to come back in.
