More blu-ray standalones than HD DVD - Blu-ray Forum

according to psu.com BDA said that blu-ray has a 63% standalone market share in the US. All of the other stats seem to line up, so this one very well may too.

It's not 63% of standalone numbers, it's 63% of the revenue from standalone sales. For instance, a DMP-BD10AK at $599 is weighted twice as much as an HD-A2 at $299.

I went on a Blu-ray adventure today, just different stores. I spoke to sales people at Best-Buy, Target and Wal-Mart and they all love Blu-ray and claim that Blu-ray players and BD movies are selling a whole lot more than HD-DVD (Just best Buy carries players out of these 3).

...so anyways, statistics are still looking well for Blu-ray, and so are the opinions of sales people.

every time that I purchase a movie at a B&M store that sell both formats, I always ask the clerk which one sells more. I have always received the answer that SDVD sells the most (obviously) but Blu-Ray comes in second.

Every time! except once. The CC by my place says that HDDVD sells better. BUT out of the 4 or so that I buy movies from, only one said that HDDVD is selling better. 75% of the stores aint bad right?
