I only have one word for this, AWESOME..............
![]() Captain Awesome for Captain America? Though he’s not going to be without competition (I imagine every young actor in Hollywood with a half-decent agent will get to read) “Chuck” actor Ryan McPartlin (yep, Captain Awesome himself!) tells Moviehole that he recently auditioned for the role of shield-wielding Steve Rogers. In an interview to promote his work on “Chuck”, I couldn’t help but wonder whether McPartlin's peeps have put his name forward to “Captain America” director Joe Johnston for consideration (particularly since the actor has expressed interest in the part in the past). And seems they have. “The one thing I can't stand are these actors that are twittering about auditioning for Captain America. It's really tacky. With that said, it is in the casting process and like many other actors, I read for it, so we'll wait and see what happens. Regardless, I'm pretty psyched to be Captain Awesome for the time being.” McPartlin's terrific on “Chuck” – fastly becoming the break-out star of the show, in fact – and I tell ya, I wouldn’t be opposed at all to him acquainting himself with the Super Serum. Still, as McPartlin said, he's merely one of what one imagines to be a large mass of actors who have read for the role, and he hasn't got the gig. Yet. Source ![]() |

Here are a few more photos for that he aren't familiar with his work or where wondering is he's built right for Captain America. He's a board certified personal trainer, so atleast he would know how to bulk up even more if necessary pretty easily.

He's got the perfect physical look, and I would cast him as Captain America in a heartbeat. But I doubt the studio casts an unknown actor outside of a small supporting role from a show with mediocre ratings, for the lead in a movie expected to pull in over $100 million.

Hugh Jackman wasn't super well known all over when he was cast as wolverine for the X Men movies i don't know how well known Christopher Reeve was super well known when he was cast as Superman. the Fantastic Four cast as well, aside from Jessica Alba and Michael Chiklis. |

But Marvel's recent history has been to use established actors. Ed Norton as the Hulk and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man are the two most notable examples. Wolverine was an ensemble character in the first X-Men movie, so viewers got comfortable with Jackman as him.

I get what you are saying and I'm not arguing with you, but it's not out of the question for them to use another lesser known actor as the star. They have used lesser known people as the star of their movies about as much as they have used big stars recently. We'll see. |
