So I was wondering if the future Blu-Ray release of Lord of the Rings will be grainy and what aspect ratio it will be presented in? Because if it will have those annoying black bars I might be upset. And seriously, let's say the Lord of the Rings trilogy were to be released on both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD by this Christmas (and here's to hoping it will be cheaper than Spiderman), I think it would win by a margin of 65/35 and force Universal to turn Blu, simply because of the PS3 market dominance, thereby ending the format war.
