Will Blu-ray have the same or similar region coding (region 1, 2, 3, etc) and formatting (NTSC and PAL) as standard DVDs?

NTSC and PAL are standard definition formats and, although Blu-ray might release some things in SD or with SD content (such as extras), all HD content uses a different format that is universal, 1080p. No need to worry about compatibility except by region.

Thanks.
Zones are my big problem, since I live in Spain and America, and also collect films from Eastern Europe which to date have not been released in blu-ray anyway ![]() |
