Denon 5308 Help with Zones - Blu-ray Forum

As indicated by the subject line and and my signature, my HT system includes a Denon 5308 and I am trying to figure out the zone setup.

What I want to do is hook up another pair of speakers just for music, in addition to my 7.1 HT configuration. All gear is in the same room. I just want to be able to turn on the music speakers and not use the HT speakers when listening to music, and vice versa for movies. I'm not sure how or even if this can be done and the manual has not answered my question either. I guess I could spend some time hooking it up and playing with options but I thought I would ask first, before going through all that work.

If you have a Denon receiver with the zone configuration and know how to do this, could you please PM me or reply back with what I need to do. Thx.

Speaker A/B = Nope, that would be too easy. There are these zones and many different ways to set up multi-room configurations. I guess I need to forget about it or be prepared to a day playing with it. Nice receiver but you need to take a course to learn how to use it...

I've had it for 2 weeks and I am still trying to figure out all the modes, settings, etc.
