Next Theme For Blu-ray.com Tournament???

On the eve of finishing our first Blu-ray.com tournament, We have a few ideas for the next tournament. Please vote for the one u would like to see next. Listed below are the ideas with details so that when u make your choice u are clear on which idea u are voting for. Got Em!!

Horror Icon/Serial Killer - This will not only include icons such as Michael Myers, Freddy Kreuger and Jason Voorhees, but also icons like Jack Torrence, Annie Wilkes, Henry, and Hannibal Lector.

Actors - This would be 64 actors poll and actresses can be included but only if they make the cut.

Actors/Actresses Split - This would be a tournament of 32 actors on 1 side and 32 actresses on the other side. Actresses would only face actresses and same for actors until the final 2 are chosen, then it would be top actor vs. top actress for the championship.

Bluray Released Films - Films only available on Blu-ray and pit the BD releases against each other. PQ, AQ, extras, and film quality all play a part in the battles.

Best Picture Films - Take the last 64 best picture winners and pit them against each other in a field of 64.

Best Animated Films - Simply have 64 animated films until there is one left standing.

Top Grossing Films Top 64 grossing films of all time in a field of 64.

Hmmm, sounds intresting, but I wouldn't like it if it came down to Jason Vs Freddy, or something of that sort, just because we've already had that question endless of times, so we would already know the outcome

Are there even 64 horror icons? The problem with that one is that most people would be unfamiliar with many of the candidates.

That's an interesting idea--I wouldn't have thought of it. I think the only problem is that ppl will vote based solely on the movie. So, while there are movies better than Blade Runner, The Wizard of Oz, and The Matrix Collection, there are very few if any blus better in terms of the total package.

I know there've been 83, but 20 of the older ones can be thrown out (obviously keeping the well known old ones).

Well we have had discussions on it but from what I remember it was either pick 1 out of all of them in a poll etc.. I think with head to head matchups could make it more interesting. Also it would include serial killer characters as well. Just look at the surprises in the tournament we have now. Got Em!!

No not horror icons but horror/serial killer there are. So it would include char cters like Jack from Shining etc..We would have enough. Got Em!!

The only thing with this is there are probably a lot of blu's that people havnt seen so it could hurt the tourney or create unfair voting. But good idea nonetheless. What do yall think of this? Got Em!!

I like the horror icons idea or you could do worst movie ever made or best of animated movies.

The 64 Best Picture winners is a good idea as well.

That would work but there is not doubt in my mind that a male would win. No insult to women actors but I think most people just see men as better actors.

My favorite so far, with Toefer's being my second favorite. The one issue with Toefer's is that not every would have seen the films in the tourney. With actors and actresses, most ppl would have seen a good amount of them. I think lately there's been a lot of debate about actors, with Tom Hanks being the most recent, so I think it would work out.

Yea I aint to keen on having both. I mean I would just do 64 period and if some actresses make the cut then that fine but I would necessarily do 32 and 32 even. Got Em!!
