Default Raised My Sub

Found a way to raise my sub to get it off the floor. I had a problem with with my cats sitting on it, so I decided to raise it. I thought about finding a little table to set it on, but then I came across these easy to assemble cubes from Target. Check it out...

Fill the cabinet with something dense such as dense and thick foam. Make sure it is not hollow. It may not be a bad idea to put a small area rug or something else under the subwoofer to make it more stable. Also, putting the lamp on the sub may not be a good idea. It may fall off during big explosions.

I haven't had any problems with it being hollow, nor with the lamp. I tried it tonight and the lamp nor my Bears candy dish budged an inch.

There are tangible benefits to doing what BD suggests.
You can read them here: https://forum.blu-ray.com/1377375-post2.html and here: https://forum.blu-ray.com/1377394-post3.html

Nothing you posted really has anything to do with why you should fill the air cavity, lol. However, yes, you should fill the space with something to prevent the movement of air.

yea you're right, it doesn't specifically say why fill the inside with foam. At least it provides some evidence Big Daddy knows what he's talking about.....
