Default Raised floor

Hi guys, for the people that have two rows of seating, I was wondering how high did you make the floor behind the first row ? I want to build a raised floor but am uncertain how high I should put it to properly see above the couch (see couch in my gallery). My ceilings are approx. 8'. Another couch of the same style will be going in front of the one I have but it will be a 3 seater. Thanks !

I think they are typically 7" increments.

I just came back from the store and got 2X10's. Didn't want to take a chance at it not being high enough. Saw on other boards after I posted here that some people went to 7" and should of went another 2" or so. Also bought some Roxul Safe 'n Sound to put in it and I'm going to port some holes in the front. Should make for a good bass trap I'd think.
