Default Same old question, new issues

Ok here goes.. I'm buying a new TV, thats the easy part. I'm looking at a 54" Panasonic G25 Plasma or the 55" Samsung LCD-LED 8500. Here is my issue though. Plasmas are supposed to be better in darker rooms and LED's are supposed to be close to the black levels of a plasma. I have a very bright room with 23' ceilings and a large high window. I work 24 hour shifts so alot of the programs I watch are DVR'd. I know that the LED is about a thousand dollars more than the same sized Panasonic (.6 inches, close enough) I want the best overall solution.. what would that be

If you are going to be watching in a bright room, you are better off with the LCD set.

The poster above me is correct. It sounds like your decision must be based solely on the "light in the room" factor. You must go with LCD for the best consistent quality viewing experience for your particular situation.
