Multiplayer Games on the PS3? (Non-online) - Blu-ray Forum

I know the Wii is better equipped for party games, but does the PS3 (via disk or the PSN) have any good 2-4+ player games?

Shooters, racers, party games, etc?

For some reason the only one that comes to mind to me is the refurbed Turtles in Time, but then again, I don't know many games.

Well, Resident Evil 5 is a two-player campaign.. If that's what you mean.

I don't personally have this game but i've heard that Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is a good racing game if that's what you're looking for. As for party games, havn't got a clue

All of these have multiplayer.

There is a much smaller percentage of online games that lack a single console multiplayer, but they do still exist.

All of the Call of Duty games, and resistance: fall of man on consoles offer a split screen option for multiplayer. Warhawk also offers split screen with multiplayer gameplay if you play on a player server. Littlebigplaet has a four player co op online and off. Rock band offers bands to play on, but you'll need two guitars, a drumset and mic. Just look on the back of the box, and if it mentions 1-2 or 1-4, then you should be able to play offline multiplayer.

The two games that always get pulled out during group gatherings at my place are Rock Band and LittleBigPlanet. They are consistently proven to be successful.

If people are getting a bit more aggressive and competitive, MK vs DC is always a hit too. However, that one usually comes out after the alcohol is almost all gone.

True story.

LittleBigPlanet? 4 sackpeople working together to get through side-crolling levels much like oldschool Mario games, but with more detail and interaction. Check out some videos online to see for yourself.

Actually, that would be Rock Band 2 or maybe SingStar. Guitar Hero franchise fails miserably because of loltastic export functions which force you to switch discs and load up new games every time you want to play songs on another disc.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 lets you play Spec Ops with another friend offline and online, so that counts.

Oh, and Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero 5 are also great party games. LittleBigPlanet also has great offline and online four player co-op.

Burnout Paradise has an up to 8 person offline Party Mode. It's DLC though.

BFBC2 > cod

dont recommend a 2nd class game when he could play a 1st class game like bfbc2

get uncharted 2, it has 2 player mode
