Australia Explain this

Why has Universal Pictures decided to make the menus of all their blu-ray titles the same way?

I find it a little off putting that none of their movies have any individualism, take for example The Incredible Hulk, I would have preferred a Hulk themed menu.

I guess we can't have everything, but I hope someone can tell me why.

Just the way they want to make their blu-rays, I guess. Their uniform menus don't bother me.

Probably cost.

Personally I have absolutely no problem with their menus. I know exactly how their disc start up operates so you always know where to skip over the junk to get to the menu and/or title. The menu is stylish, clean, usable and informative. Many other pop-up menus have been so over complicated or buried in an arty design that navigation and information is not well defined. Universal in my opinion has the best designed menu. The framework may not be film specific, but I'm generally looking for something easy to navigate with all options clearly set out and readily identifiable so that's where they win the points from me.

In the end, in terms of priorities it's low on my list when it comes to the Blu-ray. I'm looking for good picture quality followed by solid audio quality, reasonable special features, good package artwork and then a good menu design. Truthfully it just doesn't factor in as something that bothers me in terms of purchasing and only becomes an issue when functionality is sacrificed for aesthetics.

Fair call.

Its not a huge priority, just something that I thought was a little odd.

But yes you're all right. not a priority.
