Explain to me how this is done or are the Blus being sold from China or some other country?
I was online and found Half.com which seems to be similar to Amazon in that it has sellers selling their wares. Going through the Blus, I saw they have "Jounrney to the Center of the Earth" already listed for sale either used or new. The "used-like-new" for about $12 and new around $13.25. I still have it on pre-order for a lot more. I am guessing the above are not the 3D version but who knows for sure!! What is up with this??? Last edited by JimShaw; 10-26-2008 at 04:40 PM. |

Half.Com is like a non-bid version of Ebay. Individual sellers are free to sell whatever items they want for whatever price they want. This can be totally up front, as it is in most cases, or can be blatently illegal. I myself once purchased what I thought was a used copy of the film "24 Hour Party People" that turned out to be a blatent bootleg.
It is entirely possible that the seller is legitimately selling a copy of the movie. Perhaps it was a screener copy that he got through a friend or working at a video store. Maybe he's a reviewer that just really didn't want to keep the film and figured he could get a few bucks for it. The best way to gauge these things is to look at the comments their other buyers make and see if anyone is complained about what he sells or the way he sells them, just like on EBay. |

stolen merchandise? i think that half.com would have a policy in place against such a thing.

I used to use Half.com, until repeatedly having issues with users on there. Selling CD-R's, bootlegs, or just plain sending me the wrong disc and expecting me to pay to ship it back to them. Then I decided to start buying from an actual store like Amazon. |

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with half.com, but I am only buying used, already-released blu-rays from well established sellers with a record of positive feedback. I always check half.com for everything before ordering from amazon or anywhere else. Even with shipping at $3 a pop, it usually comes out cheaper than anywhere else.
