Default One of my biggest Packaging Complaints

Is when the identifier sticker (the one that goes around the top and sometimes sides and bottom) is stuck to the paper art. On a few of my releases I have had the top layer where the art is rip off leaving a long white strip where the art used to be. I try so hard to get ones that don't have the art under the sticker but sometimes I still get it. Anyone else ever happen to have this problem?

YES! I have had this happen also but only to a few of them, even so it is still bothersome to see when I pick them out and look at them. For those Blu I buy in stores and can handle before purchase I always look for that overhanging sticker! LOL!

Yep. Happened to me a couple times with Lionsgate blus I got in the mail. Now I check before I buy them in-store. Not much I can do when ordering online though.

I have had this happen but I can usually get it off intact with some goo gone and if needed a razor blade between the paper and sticker. If you soak the goo gone on the sticky area you will think you are going to stain the insert but it actually dries up pretty well and is un-noticable. Sometimes I will take a razor blade dip it in goo gone and use the razor to seperate the sticker. make a little progress then redip in goo gone. to each his own though

YES! Lionsgate seems to be the worst. Their BDs are a pain in the ass to open.

Many of the early Lionsgate BDs were packaged inappropriately. I have several where the top art has been torn off by the security sticker.

Lionsgate is the worst when it comes to those damn security stickers. Not only that, if you don't peel them off right they leave the sticky residue behind. On all three sides.

I encountered this problem a number of times when I was collecting DVDs (which is why, to this day, I examine all in-store purchases) but in the year I've been collecting Blus, I've only had this happen once; my copy of the Scream set that was released two weeks ago is missing black from both the lower front and back of the sleeve. Ordered through AMZ, though, so there was no checking before purchase.

I've had this happen a few times, it is annoying ii will say that though. But most of the time if the cover is white and it has a little white mark from the sticker. I'll just use a marker to color it in.

Lionsgate is absolutely terrible when it comes to this. 3 goddamn stickers on a cheap $7 blu-ray. What nonsense.

All stickers in general are obnoxious. Ive never had the problem with the identifier sticker. But I had one where there was this rectangular sticker on the top-back that was half on the actual case and half on see-through thing were the slip goes in, and it came off so terribly that I had to use one of my back-up cases to replace it.

I had a copy of Mad Men last year I bought from amazon that had the sticker over the silver blu-ray logo. I pulled the sticker off and it ripped off most of the silver logo.

I hated that with their old releases. I even exchanged my copy of Crank because of that reason. The woman looked at me a little funny, but I didn't care since I just wanted a new copy.

The thing that I hate the most in regards to packaging is when the plastic wrap ends up sticking to the case. The worst is when it sticks badly to the spine and it can't be pulled off. I had to use one of my replacement cases for X-Men: First Class because a good portion of the spine was covered in plastic that was really stuck to it.
