My local target does have a couple to select from and usually not any of the new releases on time. I find it easier to just buy from Amazon or Frys.

One near South Mopac and Hwy 290W has a dozen or so titles but they cost more there than Best Buy. Holy balls, man - drive down 1325 and hit Fry's at Mo-Pac and Parmer. Great selection.

The Target I work at has had Blu-Ray and HD-DVD since Oct or Nov 2006. Prices are comparible to other places, sometimes lower. Selection is the issue. I doubt it will get much better until a format wins and sales get closer to DVD. But for now we are only really dedicating 4 feet of space for HD when we have over 100 feet on our movie wall. Not including all the other places we have DVD's.

Default Local Target Blu-ray Stock

I was just at my local Target store here in San Diego and the HD section was small, but the BD section was twice as big as HD-DVD and looked like it had been pillaged. The HD-DVD section looked like it hadn't even been touched. All the new releases for this week on BD had a slot and all were empty. Go Blu-Ray!

Yep, the Target in my town went from having three columns of hd-dvd and 3 of blu-ray, to having 4 blu-ray and 2 hd-dvd. My local Hastings did basically the same thing. They know that consumers want blu.

It's the Target off of Kearny Mesa Rd off the 163. There weren't that many BD's left, they need to re-plenish.

Yep, I didnt see this thread earlier, but I went to one of my Targets this afternoon and was shocked to see the change. Put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. I had heard stories of other people's stores changing their displays around, but here in CT, there seemed to be equal spacing everywhere. i was starting to loose hope and think that maybe people here werent buying BRDs as much as the rest of the country. Seeing this new change today definitely made me happy.
