Default Sales got me worried

Blu Ray is always on top until now, could this be the down hill trend?

LOL classic Troll strategy with a twist. They find a sale buy in mass for 24 hours and then fade fast. I have been tracking the numbers and this is no different. Blu has zero releases this week. We are doing fantastic! Watch Blu keep going strong this weeks long after DUD fades. Has anybody noticed the sales ranking for the prodigidal Blades of Glory? That is a twist, the DUD boys neglecting an exclusive. How pathetic!

Amazon is very arbitrary, it changes every hour, and is overloaded with enthusiasts and HD DVDers.

They're selling the discs because people are choosing them as the 3 freebies when they buy a player

No worries. Remember who is in the blu corner. Also plan ahead for a big holiday season coming for blu and all of the releases. Look at the trend for blu, how it was behind hd-dvd, caught up and then blew past them. It will continue!

Nothing to worry about, one day or even a week of sales is not significant. If it was all of those light blue colored rectangles would have meant Blu-rays total victory, instead of simply implying it. HD-DVD people are ecstatic but to reverse the trend will take much more then this blip to turn the tide. Besides we still have to wait for the returns "What do you mean I can't play an HDDVD in my DVD player".

Sales with one on line retailer mean nothing. Neilson numbers do, and each time this happens Blu-Ray dominates in Neilson. If flip happens in the neilson and is prolonged then I would be concerned.

Even if it did flip the numbers for one week, look at the YTD. This weeks sales are good for HDM in general with the new 8 free movies with any HD players deals and Buy 2 get 1 Free disc sales.

I hope I made a difference as I bought 4 movies today. Got Shooter, Wild Hogs, Ghost Rider and RV. They were all on sale for $20. At that price I'll buy in numbers.

Ditto,

We won't have as big a gap during the holidays is my prediction.
HDDVD is bringing out the big guns preparing for their last stand against
Blu-ray. If they blow their Wad (which they will) this Holiday season and don't break the (Since inception) #'s then it is over for them in 2008.

Just like I said on the other thread about these numbers, the BD sale involves 105 titles while the HD DVD has 55, so our sales will be more spread out over 2x as many titles!

HD DVD has sales rank for top 10 and top 25, but look at the sales rank of the top 100.

I am not too worried right now, but some some good news from the BDA sure would help right now. Maybe some Funai players at Wal-Mart or Wal-MArt going exclusive or something positive. I would definitely be happy with Uni going dual or WB going Blu exclusive. I just need some good news from the Blu team!

WE must not give up when Fox starts releasing and Warner start releaseing the numbers for us will go up. HD DVD is nice but when the movie stodios start doing more to makethe most of the 50 GB disk we will see the lead again.
We have not even begun to realease the massive titles that we could, and we were still winning, HD brought out there big guns and still could not lead, the biggest movie that could hurt us is Transformers but that is it. i have faith that the BDA has this under control and they will not give up very easily. Long live Blu-Ray!

There is nothing to worry about-as said before-there were no releases today on blu-ray and only a few last week.

Sept 18th
Sept 25th

and October -these dates have between 10-15 releases per week.
Blu-Ray is going to start to blow up!

Did you look at those charts closely. They only caught up for one day. 8/27. This means nothing.

I noticed the ? next to the Die Hard movies in BTBuck1's list. They come out on 11/01/07 as listed at http://foxbd.com/. Just click on the view all titles button in the coming soon box at the lower left of the page.
