Right HDTV for my Dad

Hello everyone,

I have recently bought a 32 inch Samsung 720p set, and a PS3. Me and my dad have become addicted to watching blu-ray movies on this setup, and he is absolutely in love with it. He is coming close to making the plunge into blu-ray as well, and is wanting to go with a 42 inch LCD set. His main concern is whether it is worth it get 1080p at this size, or if 720p is just as good. I read and researched before I purchased my set that the difference was not noticeable at 32 inches, but don't know anything about 42 inches. Any help would be greatly appreciated, but please do not post the chart because it makes no sense to me.
