Biggest FUD spreader ever? - Blu-ray Forum

so i was in BB today (yeah I know) when I saw a guy be talked to about BD and HD and he wanted to know know which one he should buy. so i stood there and could not believe what I was hearing. He told the dude we use 10 GB disks! and HD uses 75! WTF!!! that was not even the worst part. he said the PQ on HD was six times better than Blu and that Blu could only output at 480p! He said Blu had PCM 5.1 but Dolby digital 5.1+ was a lot better.....

After this I pulled the dude aside and told him what was true and sure enough he walked out with a player and five movies. lucky I saved him...

was it the sales agent that was spreading these lies, you should report him to the manager.

This is why anyone who works at a Best Buy will tell you...Managers are terrified to help customers...they know how to write schedules, manage employee behaviors and speak to business acumen, their product knowledge is less than most customers usually.

It's the same everywhere...when does the guy who knows the most ever get promoted? it's usually the guy who knows the politics...and who's ego to massage that gets somewhere, meanwhile the real backbone of the store goes unnoticed.

Yes, I speak from experience.
