Madden 08 not playing

I just downloaded some kind of update for Madden 08 and now when I put the disc in it doesn't play it just gives me this message. "An error occurred during the start operation. (80010009)." Uhhhh what the hell???

Anyone should try that when they think an autoupdate has caused a problem.

So delete the Madden 08 game data utility file??? Will that wipe out my saved files?

No, it shouldn't. My friend had to do the same thing for Tiger Woods 08 and he said it worked just fine for him. Do you have an external hd to back it up on just to be safe though?

Those are 2 separate files.

Delete the update file and re download it.

That should do the trick

Tried and still doesn't work. When I delete and restart I can play offline just fine. But when I go online and do the update the game gives me that error. Am I the only one experiencing this problem?
