Default PS3 Owners With A 4:3 Display

I cannot find it in the menus where to let the PS3 know you have a 4:3 display. Perhaps it was in the initial setup of the player but I need to modify that as I may have chosen 16:9. I don't see a way of changing that initial setup or selecting 4:3 elsewhere on a menu if that is where it needs to be done.

I'm running component 1080i on a Tosh 50" 4:3 RPTV. TIA for your reply.

Press and hold the Power button until you hear a beep. Then it'll reset to 480i.

Then go to Setup, choose Display to set it back. The PS3 may not have the options for ATSC 576x720p resolution.

All PS3 games are widescreen and will be displayed in widescreen with black bars on the top and the bottom in your TV. I guess you can change the menu to fullscreen though.
