what's wrong with the image? more than likely you'll need to change the settings on the TV, rather than the PS3.

It's probably the color settings on your TV. You might want to get a calibration disc. I know that when I first got mine, the reds and yellows were reeeaally overpowering. It was my TV and not my PS3.

If you don't want to buy the disc, you might want to try this for now:
Remember the current settings on the set, and try going here for a little help with setting up the picture.

It's not much, but it's better than messing around with the settings without any point of reference at all.

Check your tv settings. Your PS3 should be fine.

You will have to play around with it a bit to fine tune, especially if you just hooked up your HDMI cable, but it will look so much better.

just make sure the PS3 is set to 1080i in your Video Output settings on the settings icon in the XMB! Your PS3 should also be able to auto-detect the best settings, but make sure you go to Settings on the XMB then scroll down to Video Output. Hope this helped! Consider a higher quality HDMI cable(this prolly wont help as much as you want it to, but every little bit works!) and when the HD Essentials BD comes out next year, pick it up and calibrate your TV!! HAve fun. PS3 FTW
