Default Boycott Transformers on HD!

This has been mentioned several times in several posts.

I believe this issue has to get its very own post, keep it on top.

____________

Blu-ray only users, and hybrid users...

PLEASE - PLEASE, do not lay your hands on the filthy HD DVD release of Transformers. I know its tempting with low prices or for those currently with 2 players - but it will hurt in the end!

Support Blu-ray, do NOT buy Transformers, it will backfire eventually if we all do.

If you are hardcore, I suggest that you like me, will no longer buy any Paramount DVD or watch any of their releases in the theater.

18 months in hell Paramount, I hope you got a lot of money under the table for this.

Only because AACS was cracked. BD+ hasn't been put in place. The combination will make it harder to crack and with each crack, a new key can be issued.

By the way, tjsmangina has already been reported. Keep reporting HD-DVD trolls until the forum is clean again. Do not engage them because they can't see past the FUD and the Microsoft trap.

Hadn't read your post when reported him/her. A lot of trolls registering from yesterday. This is annoying considering the fact that this is BD forum

@tjsmangina.... I hope you realised that BD has an extra layer of protection

Looks like I will be waiting for paramount movies to premiere on HBO HD and just store the movies on a dvr until they see the light and come back to Blu-Ray.

Paramount isn't known for making real good decisions as of late.

Michael Bay doesn't even want it released on HD-DVD. If he could, he would surely pull it from the market.
He won't make a second and I doubt he will stick with Paramount over this rash decision. He is going to go Blu-ray so it is likely he will move to another studio.
This means that Paramount is loosing a LOT more than they bargained for.
But if they do not change their mind about this, then at least we WILL see Transformers come out to Blu-ray in 18 months.

Definitely won't be making this purchase-even though it will kill my husband. We are a blu only household so buying it on dvd would be worthless. WE WILL WAIT TIL THEY WAKE UP AND ITS ON BLU-RAY (THE ONLY HIGH DEF FORMAT WORTH PAYING FOR)

I will buy the toshiba XA2 if in the end transformers is only avaiable in HD-DVD,if thre is no way of getting an import copy on bluray.

You guys may think im stupid to burn money on a player for one movie, but thats just it..theres no way i can do withoutht his movie on HD. Even though i can get a cheap hd dvd player, the XA2 is the cream of the crop for hd dvdv players, so its obvious i will nto sacrifice any money to get the best player to play hd-dvds.
