This is indeed a weird question, but I'd be glad to take a shot.

1. Can you name the best Place in the U.S ?

Well, the US is different everywhere. There are places hotter than most, places colder, some windy-er, and some where you experience all the different weather at differnt times of the year. So it really depends on what exactly you like.

I think snakes can be pretty much everywhere, but again, different levels. Desert places will have more. Hurricanes same thing. They are stronger and more prevalent in certain areas.

2. Internet

Different providers all over the country. Whether it be dial-up, cable, dsl, or otherwise, most are pretty much available in any populated area these days.

3. Free TV

I'd say Fox, ABC, NBC, FOX, and maybe a local public access, maybe CW too.

4. Start of evening programs

I would say 8:00 pm

5. News

There are all day news channels, like CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC, etc. Local news happens pretty much throughout the day, I'd guess it changes wherever you are though. Mornings, 10 am, noon, 6 pm, 10 or 11 pm, etc.

6. What does this time data mean = ( 9/8c )

Usually means the show will start at 9:00 EST, which is 8 CST. EST is the first time zone in the states, so nationwide programs might advertise the starting time with that time first. Sometimes specifying EST, so people in the other timezones dont get confused.

7. I like doors from the US!

Someone else can take this one. I havent studied up on doors at all.

In my experience the best weather is found in the southeastern United States along the Mason-Dixon line (the border between what's considered north and south) as well as the atlantic coast or in th interior of California. Hurricans only really happen to the Gulf states (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida and occasionally the Carolinas and Georgia.

For size reference I see you're in Germany (russian in germany?) so the US itself is about twice the size of Europe. So the weather differences are huge. All of the continental states have snakes. Tornados are a problem across the middle of the country.

Internet is handled by the local TV provider, the local telephone carrier or a wireless/satellite dealer. The coverage is spotty and speed depends on area. The average speed available will be around 3-5Mb/s.

Usually any locality will have 4 main tv stations- Fox, CBS, ABC, and NBC. Generally no more than that. They work on an affiliate system and programming varies slightly but generally the same on all major shows.

Because the US is so big it covers 4 timezones. Because of affiliates broadcasting the same program across multiple timezones they have to advertise the time in an easily understood way. The East is broken up into a East/Central time slot. Which is why you see 9/8PM CST. Because 2 timezones get that feed. The west timezone is bundled from Mountain/Western which they keep equivililant to the East feed. What comes on at 9PM on the East coast feed, comes on at 9PM in the West coast feed. With the Eastern timezone sharing the same programming time as the Mountain timezone and Central sharing the same programming time as the Western timezone.

News is at 6PM EST and 11PM EST(5PM and 10PM CST)

Snakes are almost everywhere but there not out in the open (if you know what i mean). Hurricanes mostly happen in NC, SC, GA, FL, LA, TX, AL and MS. But can happen (low chance) in NJ, DE, NY, PA, MY, VA and New England.

That type of door is ... i know this but cant remember. lol

I can't blame you for not liking hurricances. Living in coastal Florida, I've been through several and can tell you, they're no joke. And a double whammy is that after a hurricane barrels through and leaves yards and streets flooded with standing water, there's lots of snakes everywhere!!!

The early start time for the Central Timezone(CST) also is for the Mountain Timezone (MST). So our primetime programming starts at 7PM vs 8PM for PST and EST.

I've lived in more States than most people have just traveled to. I've lived in the Northwest, midwest, northeast, mideast (D.C. Virginia area), westcoast, and southwest. Of all those areas the best weather has been in Colorado. I believe we get more sunshine than Miami, but we also have all four seasons. No hurricanes , but we'll get tornados on the plains and of course big snow storms in the winter. Bugs aren't as bothersome here as they are in the south or eastcoast. It isn't humid, so while we can get temps into the high 90's low hundreds, it doesn't feel like 120-130 like it can at humid areas.

The only thing we are missing is an ocean. The westcoast is pretty nice, but in most places it is overcrowded. Eastcoast wasn't too bad, but I didn't like the humidity. Also growing up in the west, it is hard for me to call most of their 'hills' mountains.

The only part of the US I'm least familiar with would be the south.

Can't tell you much about the door, but here is a gallery of US house styles:
http://architecture.about.com/od/per...yles/index.htm

San Diego, California is considered to have great weather. From Wikipedia: "...enjoys mild, sunny weather throughout the year. Average monthly temperatures range from about 57° Fahrenheit (14°C) in January to 72° Fahrenheit (22°C) in July"

Don't believe stuff you see on TV. And, no, we don't have snakes on our planes.

We actually have six timezones: Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaskan, Hawaiian

Yea, but Alaska and Hawaii don't count.

They're way out there. No snakes there either.

Here in northern Minnesota, we have no earthquakes, no hurricanes, no poisonous snake (and few benign ones), no bad spiders, no cockroaches, many mosquitoes, very rare tornadoes and only occasional thunderstorms. We do have cold winters, blizzards and suicidal terrorist whitetail deer.

Everything else is as above. I've lived in Michigan, Idaho, North Dakota, Missouri, Alabama, Texas and Minnesota. All of them have great things and bad things about them. The only of them I would never want to go back to is Houston, Texas. Other parts of Texas may be okay, though.

Ok, this is the question that got me crackin up!

Those doors could be almost anything. From the picture we couldn't tell you. It could be hollow in the center, it could be steel, fiberglass, etc... They're nothing fancy at all.

I'm not trying to be rude, merely funny...... but if you don't have doors like these, what in the heck do you use?

MrBogey, I know you didn't just say something that foolish.

Here is a little info about Europe: (approx. 10.2 million square km's)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europe

and some about the U.S: (approx. 9.8 million square km's)

It's called an 8 panel door. Typical American households have 6 panels which look like this..

Or they are just flat/plain (no panels).

Oops, I meant to say Western Europe. Makes more sense that way since I singled out a Western European country.

Yea...that's the ticket.
