Which discs are region free????

Right I'm a newbie to blu-ray. I have been busy doing my HD-DVD thing, now i have discovered that the PS3 has HDMI 1.3 (yes i know I'm a little slow on the uptake) so will be branching out to blu-ray now it isn't going to cost me the earth to do so!
What I really want to find out is which discs I can import from the States to the UK and will still bloody work on my system (part of what suduced me to HD-DVD in the first place, no coding) as I generally refuse to pay £25 ($50) for one disc of a sub-standard film as seems to be the uk cost.....

Any replies much aprieciated.

there are many threads about this, some with links to lists.
Warner and Paramounts Blu-rays are all region for example.

I took a look at my collection on http://www.dvdspot.com and for each disc there is a reference to the region and whether the disc is region free or for a specific region. I can't speak to the accuracy of the information. You may want to sign up, add the discs you're interested in and see what shows up as region free.
