Default Help with sound from BD-P1200

Whenever I have a playing movie on "Pause", when I resume playing, the sound goes out of sync. I have to stop or rewind a couple of times to have the sound in sync with the movie again. Is their a setting that I am missing?
I have the sound fed from the Samsung BD-P1200 via a toslink cable to the LG AVR . Thanks.

Yes, after months without problems, I've been having the same issue since last week's firmware update. Not every time I pause, but most times. Not unique to Toslink since I'm using HDMI. You and I should call Samsung's customer support and begin the complaint process.

My unit is less that one week old and I upgraded the firmware as soon as I opened the box. Other than this problem though, I have been impressed with the player. Loading time is not too different from my regular DVD player.

This happened to me 2 days ago, this was the first time ever in the 5 months I have owned it. I left the player on pause maybe 20-30 mins (I forgot about it). I just hit the stop 1 time then play & it was fine.

Toslink used

I have encountered this a few times, as well as various video lockups as seen in This Thread. All of which have been occuring since the last firmware update, and only seem to occur with DVDs.

I've played dozens of SD's thru the 1200 since the update with no video freezes. YMMV, of course!

Try it with futurama Season 1 if you have it. locked up on every episode as it started scrolling the credits. Also mid-episode on a few of them.
Also, I picked up Meet the Robinsons today on BR, and the damned player kept flashing an "Angle" message up multiple time throughout the movie. it was very distracting and irrtating. Im getting the impression this firmware build wasn't very throughly tested, and was put out early due to rising customer complaints.

I have noticed this as well since the firmware update. Never noticed it before. I use the analog six channel for audio. I have noticed that if I restart the movie by hitting the pause button again, it seems to be better. If I restart by hitting play, it is more likely to happen. Usually if I hit pause again and then restart the movie it seems to correct the issue.

Obviously this is something that resulted with the firmware update and we need to make them aware of it.

Yes, I found that if I hit 'PAUSE" again rather than "PLAY", I don't get the freese up. Other than this minor problem, the player is doing very well and I am very happy with it.

well, I sent samsung CS an email on the website on Thursday explaining the problem and I am still waiting for a reply. I won't hold my breath. What we need is a firmware update.
