India/Bollywood Karthik calling karthik

I was in Mumbai two weeks ago on vacation and watched karthik calling karthik, i thought deepika looked amazing, although movie was slow, would love to see day and date release of this movie with dvd. Which studio has rights to this movie, i hope it is yash raj then it will be out quicki actually saw her at filmfare awards at yash raj studios she looked stunning in person , i think she is the prettiest star in bollywood.

Why do people keep asking about movies that have just RECENTLY released. By now you should know that the DVD releases first for INDIAN companies and then the BD is set to come after a century. Why even TALK about the BD when it is ages away. Makes no sense.

Releasing a movie like Karthik Calling Karthik on Blu Ray doesnt make any sense either...

Why would they release a flop movie on Blu Ray... Who is suppose to buy it?

USA Deepika fans

Short answer Deepika fans would buy it, she looks stunning in the movie. I think she is the hottest indian star by far, she should be the next bond girl not FReida Pinto. I would buy it in a hearbeat. I was lucky enough to see her at the filmfare awards at Yash Raj last month in mumbai. I agree the story sucked

Aspect ratio says 1:85....Not many people like movies presented in this ratio anymore.

I would not pay too much attention to the specifications listed here for Hindi movies. They are wrong more often than not. I am sure the original aspect ratio of 'Karthik Calling Karthik' is not 1.85:1. In fact, I can't recall when was the last time any Bollywood movie was shot in 1.85:1.

The last I recollect is Santosh Sivan's 'Halo'.

that's not even mainstream - that was as independent as Indian movies ever got.

thanks. I hate watching 1:85 or 1.78 movies on 2:35 projection screen. Can't stand black bars on the side, not to mention how small the picture looks. Movies presented in 2:35/2:39 AR give true film like feel.

Anyone knows about blu-ray rentals in Mumbai? Coz this movie doesn't have a longer shelf life irrespective of whether a great quality Blu-ray it offers or not. A one time rent watch would suffice I guess.
