Arrow Blu-Ray :: LightScribe :: Need Advice

Hi to all. I've just registered.

I have several questions about Blu-Ray and LightScribe drives. I want to know, what is the fastest Blu-Ray/DVD/CD reader/writer drive available and which brand is the best in it. Also, I want to know, what is the fastest DVD/CD reader/writer with LightScribe drive available and which brand is the best in it.

Thanks.

I think the fastest lightscribe DVD burners these days are the 18x models. LG makes a fairly inexpensive one that does the job nicely. Here's a link:

As for Blu-ray burners, Pioneer, LG and Plextor make drives. There may be a few others as well. I would personally go with the Pioneer drive, which you can see here:

So far, so good... if LG that good - I might buy from them. But, one more question I forgot to ask - does these drives support DL (double layer)?

P.S. Also, I don't really know what's DL. Thanks.

Both support dual layer format. (so yeah you can burn 50GB blu-ray discs)

Dual layer is just that, a second layer that effectively doubles the storage capacity on the disc.
