Lightbulb I want some thoughts from the format neutral members.

Firstly, this is not a way to draw out the format neutral members into the open to be slaughtered. I think you guys know me enough to know I am not trolling. I still say you neutral guys are better than the reds who decide to just bad mouth blu-ray as an alternative.

Now, I realize you guys are neutral because you simply want HDM (hi def media) and probably consider red is still better than DVD. I know you probably didn't want to wait for it to come on blu, etc.

So I have two questions. When the movie format is neutral, like Warner, do you lean toward BD, or it doesn't matter.

Second, have you considered what will happen some day in the not so distant future? HD DVD will very well be the "dead" format. Some day that HD DVD player is going to break, and you may not have the repair option, nor be able to find a good used one on ebay.

Unlike DVD which will always be playable on BD players, have you considered the fact of one day having dozens of movies and nothing to play them on? I have a friend with one such broken laserdisc player. Now it just sits there.

Any insights welcome.

"BAN THE TROLL!"

There, I already used the joke so now noone can use it.
