Old retro/semi-OT question: Any Final Fantasy experts?

Sorry, but still PS related, and didn't want to join an entire FF forum just to ask--as most have lost their traffic by now anyway--and thought there was sure to be some old experienced PS2 vets hanging around the 3 forum:

So, I'm using the PS2 backwards-compatibility on my new 60G to make up for nine lost years of never owning one, and GameFlying through everything SquareEnix ever created--
Although I'd only played FF7 and X, I knew enough to spot all the "celebrity cameos" in Disney's Kingdom Hearts II--Cid, Sephiroth, Auron, etc.
The only "cameo" Square characters I couldn't place in KH2 were a trio of teen mallrat-girl fairies who comically argue about looking for treasure...Anyone know where they were from?
Don't think they showed up in VIII or IX, and XI wasn't as story-related.

(Yes, I know it's embarrassing, but if the Movie forums can help the younger kids through "2001", then the Game forums can help all us cheap retro-PS2 players who're just finding out about these now.)

Hi there, the three fairies you're refering to are Yuna, Rikku and Paine from Final Fantasy X-2. I've played FFVI, VII, VII(DoC) VIII, IX, X and am currently working through XII. I've also played through KH and KH2.

Actually, I was considering replaying KH and KH2 right after FFXII because I'm eagerly awaiting PS3's KH3 and of course FFXIII (although I'm confused by the many parts thats coming out in.

I find that KH2 and FFXII look better on PS3 with upscaling turned off and smoothing on. The thing that annoys me about XII is that the videos aren't full screen... ever, 16:9, 4:3 doesn't matter, you get a stupid small screen video. (Same with PS2, not just a PS3 problem).

Also has anyone noticed with PS3's PS2 emulation that BLACK is actually a DARK GREY instead of pure black? Its annoying also.

Anyway, hope that helps. Any more FF or KH related questions give me a shout!! I'm your man!

Oh, other Cameos include Vivi (FFIX), Squall, Seifer, Raijin and Fujin (FFVIII) Cloud, Tifa, Sephiroth, Yuffie, Cid, Aeris (FFVII, all of whom are voiced by the people doing their voices in Advent Children) I believe KH1 saw Selphie (FFVIII) plus Wakka and Tidus (FFX) too. I think that's all of them.

D'ohh! Should've recognized Yuna and Rikku from FFX-1, and have X-2 (or "Final Fantasy Barbie", as one Gamefly reviewer called it) next on the list, just didn't recognize them in "cute" mode out of character.

...Have there been any confirmed rumblings of KH3 for PS3, btw, or are we just hoping?

Not yet, but there's new KH games coming to PSP, DS and mobile.
