Default Superman Returns on BD?

You heard it here first...

11/28/06 Superman Returns on BD and HD-DVD...

All other Superman movies also launching on HD-DVD the same day...

I'm not 100% on this but I believe to be true so take it with a grain of salt.

That was the original plan stated by Warner earlier this year. Hopefully they'll be able to stick with it. If they do I'll happily pick up 1/2/Returns.

If superman 2,3, and 4 are released on blu-ray, I wonder if they will be better then on regular DVD since it just the movie by itself.

I've yet to decide if I'm going to pick up Superman Returns as the movie was not that great. It had its moments, but it felt more like a remake of the original (and I didn't find it that great either) than a sequel. NOTHING happened at all really and there was barely a battle scene. Metallo could have easily been placed into this movie.

I did see Superman returns when it was out in theaters and the movie is a mixed bag. They had to redo the entire cast. It was nice to see a new superman movie after a very long absence. I was hoping that superman would put lex luthor away for good or at least put him in jail like in part two, but oh well, there is always room for a sequel. The movie did pretty well at the theater. It wasn't as big as pirates though.

Didn't you think Pirates II could have been 30 minutes shorter?

I did. And I know which bits I'd cut too lol.

ANyone else notice that the Kraken could have smashed Jack's ship in 1 sec flat like that ship at the beginning, but it took its time for some reason? lol

All the same, best special effects in history, so it was a good landmark film in that respect

I think that pirates two is set for sometime next year since they shot both films back to back. I don't really care how part three will end as long as Jack Sparrow isn't killed.

Yes, I do mean part three. The only other movie series that was made into a trilogy was the Matrix series and although I did like all three movies, I didn't like the fact that both Neo and Trinity were killed in the movie. Although the war had ended and Morpehous was very happy, he had lost both of his best and only troops. I hope the same doesn't happen for pirates. I don't care if Davy Jones is killed, but I really want Jack to live as well as Will and Elizabeth because if any of the three main characters were killed, the audience would have different reactions to the movie in general.

Pirates 2 looks like it will surpass Lord of the Rings 3 and only Titanic will then be higher Box Office internationally...

Um, no. I felt it could have been longer as the movie just zipped by quite quickly. Same with King Kong. Well, sort of. It should have been 10 mins longer on the island and 5 minutes shorter in NYC.
